And it's not just teach...This is SO important. And it's not just teaching them scripture, but it's also teaching them scripture as you correct their attitudes, or their selfishness, or whatever else is contrary to sound teaching. I just had an incident where my 16 year old son was tempted with pot. While he was smoking, he said he could hear my voice in his head, "Moses decided to suffer ill-treatment with the people of God rather than enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season." He said, "Mom, get out of my head, I'm trying to get high here." Now I'm not happy that he went down this path, and sometimes, in spite of your diligence, they will because they still need to be led by God's Spirit, and convicted by God's Spirit. Had he not heard those words, what did the Holy Spirit have to draw on and bring to his remembrance? God was also faithful that he brought this to the light.
